Qualification Design
SSID qualifications are unique. They have been designed to offer practical, focussed learning with clear goals so that when you are qualified, employers know exactly what job role you are competent to do.
Every qualification has a simple, clear title so that everyone knows exactly what the qualification outcomes are.
This means the layout of our qualification is much simpler – they are generally 2-4 units long and all units are mandatory. They have been designed so that all learning outcomes are achieved, creating skilled, competent people, who are ready to get on site.

Job role
SSID qualifications are very role specific, but we are aware that sometimes, learning outcomes may be similar across different qualifications, where this is the case, we will work with Qualification Delivery Centres to map these so learners are not repeating evidential requirements.
